Mandy and Trent Becker founded The Lighthouse in 2017 out of a desire to combine their skills, experiences and passions to provide optimal care for those living with cognitive impairment. Mandy is a nurse and has operated memory support programs in environments as large as 56 individuals. She facilitated two start-up programs on the east coast and has direct experience caring for individuals living with, but not limited to: Alzheimer’s Disease, Vascular Dementia, Parkinson’s Disease Dementia, Dementia with Lewy Bodies, Frontotemporal Dementia, Primary Progressive Aphasia, and more. Mandy has also served as an Alzheimer’s Support Group facilitator through the Alzheimer’s Association.
Trent Becker is a hobby-farming enthusiast and avid outdoorsman. With his experience, knowledge and passion to live the life that surrounds you, The Lighthouse is able to offer an agricultural component to the program, which include activities with their pet livestock, gardening and general outdoors activities in a safe and secure environment.
